Is this Channelization code for a protected turn lane (not opposing traffic) e.g. a left turn AUxialiary Lane (AUL) drive on left ? or does it only apply to a CHannelised Left (CHL) when an island is present ?
Channelisation can apply to any intersection or junction where road markings or traffic islands are used to separate or regulate conflicting traffic movements.
