What are the i, m, and u codes in a cost upload file?
Column 3 of a Countermeasure Cost upload file is ‘Carriageway Code’. The model uses these codes to understand whether the treatment is specific to an undivided road only (code u), an individual carriageway that can be treated in isolation (code i), or the treatment is generally applied to and impacts both/multi carriageways (m).
So…
• i = individual carriageway
• m = multi lane (includes treatments at intersections)
• u = undivided (existing road is undivided)
