Location of fatality data

Hi,

I would like to know if it’s possible to input the fatality data in other way to consider their location.

Thanks.

Each dataset in ViDA can be calibrated to a known number of deaths. The model allocates those deaths to individual 100 metre segments based on risk (the star rating score) and exposure to risk (traffic volumes etc). So the model does not attach the deaths to the actual 100m segments where they have occurred but instead puts them on the road segments where they are most likely to occur in the future. If you wanted to allocate the exact number of deaths to each road then you’ll need to consider creating smaller datasets i.e. one road per dataset. If you are looking to map the crash data you could consider Risk Mapping. For more info see https://www.irap.org/how-we-can-help/?et_open_tab=et_pb_tab_2#mytabs|2
