I am currently writing a master’s thesis about Risk Map and would like to compare the risk levels of road sections on national highways in South Korea using the Risk Map. I have referred to the Risk Map manual used in iRAP for my analysis.
During my analysis, I came across an issue. I understand that in order to use the “accidents per vehicle kilometer” indicator, traffic volume data for all road sections under analysis is required. However, there are road sections on national highways in South Korea where traffic volume data is not collected, and I am unsure how to calculate the indicator in these cases.
I would like to inquire if iRAP has a method for allocating traffic volume to road sections where traffic volume data is not collected in order to use the indicator. If so, could you please provide me with information on the method? Alternatively, if there is a report that mentions this information, could you please provide me with the name of the report?
It is very important to me, so I hope I can get your help.
Thank you for your assistance.
